UFC chief Dana White has apologized for slapping his wife of 26 years in the face at a bar during a New Year’s Eve party in Mexico:
Dana White groaned and apologized after he got into an argument in a club in Mexico on New Year’s Eve and was filmed slapping his wife Anne in the face.
Worth an estimated $500 million after building the UFC into a global money-spinning franchise, White, 53, has been married to his wife for 26 years since 1996 and has three children.
They were celebrating New Year’s Eve at El Ica Lo in Cabo San Lucas. The video shows White appearing to say something to Ann, who reacts by slapping him, then he slaps her before the pair split up. I slap you.

White said he had no excuses for his actions and was ’embarrassed’ about the clip
“I’m one of those people who say there’s never an excuse for a man to touch a woman, but we’re talking about it right here on TMZ.
“This is one of those scary situations. It’s embarrassing. We have three children, but since the video came out we’ve been showing them and now we’re more focused on our family.” .
“People will have an opinion on this, and they will be right, especially in my case. You should never touch a woman.

His wife, Anne, reportedly told TMZ:
“Unfortunately we drank too much on New Year’s Eve and things got out of control for both of us. We discussed this as a family and apologized to each other.
In 2014 White said UFC fighters who assault women will never come back.
White, who has led the UFC since 2001, said there was no way to bring back a fighter who previously assaulted a woman.
“There is one thing I can never get over: touching women,” he said. “It’s been that way in the UFC since we started here. You put your hands on a woman and you don’t bounce back.”
Where White goes from here will be the focus of intense scrutiny over the next few days.
The next UFC card is scheduled for January 14th in Las Vegas, and I’m usually expected to attend in person.
“My legacy and everything else about my job means nothing to me,” White added. “It’s all about your family. It’s about your wife and kids.”
