LA JOLLA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Police in La Jolla last month arrested a woman in connection with the death of a 5-year-old student who was found unresponsive in the car of Dr. Americo Paredes Elementary.
According to records, 37-year-old Diana Trevino Montelongo was charged with manslaughter.
Montelongo was arrested Thursday and booked on $50,000 bail.
On August 25, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an unresponsive child in a car.
La Jolla ISD Police Chief Raul Gonzalez has confirmed that a five-year-old student is linked to Montelongo.
