Sarah Huckabee Sanders wins the governorship of Arkansas.
Republican incumbent Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R, Ark) has played several leadership roles in the US Senate, Governor, and presidential campaigns. She served as director of the National Political Bureau in her father Mike Huckabee’s (R-Ark.) 2008 presidential campaign and in Senator Tom Cotton’s 2014 campaign against Democratic incumbent Marc Pryor. served as Senior Advisor.
She then participated in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign as a senior adviser in 2016 and served as White House press secretary from 2017 to 2019. Mr Trump said Mr Sanders was “a very special man with an extraordinary talent”.
Her campaign highlighted the country’s freedoms and rule of law under attack under the Biden administration.
“To preserve freedom, there must be law and order and the peaceful resolution of differences,” Sanders said. “The Radical Left solution imposes government control and censorship from top to bottom.” That’s it.”
Chris Jones (D-Ark.), Sanders’ Democratic challenger, won a NASA scholarship and received a BS in Physics and Mathematics from Morehouse College in 1999. Throughout his career, Jones has worked as a physicist, pastor, and nonprofit leader.
His campaign focused on quality education for Arkansas people, affordable internet for every home, and economic development by creating high-paying jobs. Jones argued that the problem would be solved by uniting people to move forward.
“Arkansas’ promise is faith that together we can meet our challenges,” Jones said. I hope to create a place where I can realize my potential.”
