North Park Center evacuated after mall received threats
Dallas — The Northpark Center along the US highway. 75 north of Dallas were evacuated Saturday morning due to potential threats, the WFAA confirmed.
Dallas Police said officers responded to a call about 10:30 a.m. Saturday that the mall had received “an unidentified threat.”
Sources told WFAA that parts of the mall had been evacuated. NorthPark Center he sent the following statement to the WFAA:
“Nordstrom Northpark is aware of a situation involving threats to several regional Nordstrom stores. Out of an abundance of caution, Nordstrom Northpark is closed at this time as the DPD investigates.”
Shortly before 1pm, shoppers were allowed back into the mall. An official at the North Park Center said the Dallas Police Department confirmed Nordstrom’s threats to North Park were unfounded.
North Park officials said the center is open during normal business hours.
