Large police presence near Skillman Street and NW Highway

Dallas — The intersection of Skillman Street and the Northwest Highway should be avoided due to the high concentration of police in this area.

Dallas Police said officers responded to a service request at the location and the scene now serves as a barricade.

SWAT has been notified of the situation and the suspect is now in custody, police said.

The suspect, who was in her car, emerged after police fired a flashbang and gas canister into her back window. She happily came out and was arrested by SWAT.

The suspect was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said. No injuries have been reported.
