Jonathan Majors arrested on assault charges in New York

Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment, authorities said.

The New York City Police Department said Majors, the star of the recently released “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumanias,” was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. Police responded around 11am. His 911 call inside Chelsea’s Manhattan neighborhood apartment.

“The victim reported the assault to police,” a NYPD spokesman said in a statement. The victim suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. “
