HARRINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The FDA and HEB have announced a recall of HE-B’s Meal Simple Chocolate Chunk Brownies.
Hughes Springs-based Ameripack Foods LLC has issued a recall of 967 pounds of brownies for undeclared soybeans and eggs, according to a HEB news release.
“Persons with allergies or severe sensitivities to soy or eggs may experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction when consuming this product,” the release states.
According to HEB, the recall was initiated after it was discovered that a tray of brownies was incorrectly labeled as sopapilla cheesecake.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported, according to the grocer.
If you have purchased the product, please stop using it immediately and return it to your nearest HEB store for a full refund.
