The White House is urging people again to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Tuesday, Joe Biden received his fifth COVID-19 injection. He claimed it was effective in keeping someone from contracting the virus, and Democrats announced his COVID-19-related deaths would rise during the winter months.
This is despite recent revelations from Pfizer executives who told a European Union court they were unsure whether their vaccine could prevent transmission of COVID-19.
Biden told reporters after receiving the latest booster.
“We are here with a simple message,” he said. “Get vaccinated, vax, update your COVID vaccine. It’s incredibly effective, but the truth is not enough people are getting it. Safe and healthy holiday season I have to change that so I can spend my time, so I’m updating my shots today.”
CDC director Rochelle Wilensky did not attend the event because she tested positive for COVID-19 less than a month after receiving her last booster.
Biden’s statement came almost a month after declaring the pandemic over.
