A Massachusetts woman was convicted of fatally stabbing her two young sons in what authorities called a “ritual” murder and was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.

Police responding to a 911 call at the family’s Brockton home on February 5, 2018 found Sanders distraught and struggling outside, prosecutors said.
The boys were found in the family’s third-floor apartment wrapped in bedding. They each had been stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife and were later found in the sink.
“Sanders cleaned up the children, put them to bed, and cleaned up the crime scene,” prosecutors said in a news release. “Sanders never sought medical care for the boys.”
