8-year-old boy playing video games shot, police say

San Antonio – An 8-year-old boy was shot while playing video games at home and taken to hospital, according to San Antonio Police.

At 5:15 a.m. Sunday, police responded that firing was underway at Block 7000 in Harry Spirit.

Police say the boy was shot while playing video games in his upstairs bedroom.

Police say the boy was shot in the left shin. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is reported to be in a stable condition.

Neither the suspect nor the vehicle have been found, SAPD said.

This is an ongoing investigation.
