At 2:15 pm on Friday, the first “real” cold front passed through San Antonio.

Unlike the last few fronts, the cold is short-lived and will continue over the weekend and into next week.

Here’s what to expect:

Saturday (November 12th)

  • After a cold start of 30 and 40 degrees, some sunshine helps bring the maximum temperature closer to 60 degrees.

  • Evenings are chilly, with temperatures dropping quickly to the 40s after sunset

Sunday (November 13th)

  • Cold start with temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s around San Antonio, with a potential for light freezing in parts of the Hill Country north of Loop 1604

  • The sky is partly cloudy, with more clouds later in the day. This will keep the temperature close to 60 degrees

Next week (November 14-18)

  • A cold front will form again on Monday, with a chance of rain. As such, it stays cool around San Antonio and South Central Texas.Expected to be in his 40s in the morning, his early 50s and early 60s in the afternoon
