AUSTIN (KXAN) — The annual rite of passage crept into the grounds of the Texas State Capitol on Monday.
Sweetwater Jaycees are promoting the 65th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup at the Capitol this week.
This group brings poisonous reptiles into town as a way to promote what is said to be the world’s largest Rattlesnake Summaryoccurs in March.
The 65th annual event features cook-offs, dancing, and other events, but the highlight is the snake hunt.
Handler is sharing an important message about the safety of the Capitol this week.
