A huge dragon bursts into flames at Disneyland’s Fantasmic!show

The 45-foot-tall animatronic dragon is a Fantasmic! nighttime water and fireworks show on Tom Sawyer Island, according to Disneyland officials.

Videos posted on social media show park-goers passing by the dragon, engulfed in flames as black smoke rises into the sky.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, officials said.

“During the final screening of ‘Fantasmic’ at Disneyland Park Saturday night, a dragon caught fire,” a Disneyland official said in a statement to CBS News. “Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded quickly and the fire was put out. I did.”

No injuries were reported and authorities said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
