Examples of Quality UX Design

User experience (UX) design can make or break your online offering. Your goal needs to be to provide your customers with easy-to-use interfaces while accommodating diverse users and delighting them along the way. Products are more user-focused than ever and designed to meet customer needs. Let’s examine two examples of quality UX design.

What is UX design?

UX design focuses on making the product easy, functional, and delightful to use. It is all about enhancing the experience someone will have when interacting with your product, ensuring that they find value in it. UX design is an approach that considers the user and not just the end product. It often involves developing a product using customer feedback, which allows the developer to understand the product’s objectives and how it will meet the user’s needs.

  1. Airbnb

You are probably familiar with Airbnb’s UX design for booking or offering accommodations. It is easy to see that Airbnb put a lot of time into researching what travelers want when booking a vacation stay. Setting up a listing on the rental interface is easy with just a few simple steps from start to finish. Then the traveler interface allows the user to narrow the search based on location, check-in and out dates, and the number of people.

The results page then lets you break it down even further into the type of housing, if free cancellation is included, the price, and if you can instantly book the accommodations. Airbnb offers even more filters for travelers with specific needs, such as the number of beds, bathrooms, accessibility, amenities, and facilities.

The interface is intuitive and easy to use, with attractive photographs and detailed information. A user can sit down and use the Airbnb website or app without needing instructions or getting frustrated. The UX is a minimalist design that is clear, quick, and user-friendly.

  1. Uber

Uber is designed to attract drivers and riders, so its user experience needs to appeal to both, all on the same interface. You can quickly sign in as either a rider or a driver from the homepage. You can pick whether you need a ride, food, or package delivery as a rider. You can save places or set a destination on the map, and it shows you what is around you in case you are not familiar with the area. As a driver, you can decide whether you want to give rides or deliver food and packages.

Like the Airbnb interface, the Uber one is minimalist, intuitive, and easy to use. The Uber interface was redesigned in 2016 because the previous version struggled to keep up with company growth and experienced issues with performance and reliability. This redesign demonstrates that the UX design should not be stagnant and may require changes to adapt to new or evolving customer needs.
