West Hertfordshire NHS Trust Signs £ 30m for Electronic Medical Record 10-Year Contract

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust has signed a long-term contract to provide an electronic patient recording system.

In December, Trust signed a £ 30m deal with US-based health tech company Cerner. Trading will continue until August 31, 2030.

In addition to providing a new EPR system, the contract also includes “related implementation and hosting services”.

The deal was awarded through the framework of a clinical IT system operated by QE Facilities, a subsidiary owned by Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.

West Hertfordshire Hospital NHS Trust operates hospitals in three of the county’s largest towns and cities. Watford; and Hemel Hempstead. It has about 5,000 employees.
