University of Connecticut requires applicants for physiotherapy professors to advocate “anti-racist policies”

The University of Connecticut is seeking the status of an assistant professor to help dismantle “structural racism” and consider advocating “anti-racism policies.”

As part of the individual’s responsibility to become an assistant professor in the doctoral program at the University of Connecticut’s physiotherapy program, the individual is expected to contribute to one or more of the “four strategic priorities” of the University of Agricultural Sciences. One of those “strategic priorities” requires applicants to consider dismantling structural racism and advocating “anti-racist” policies.

“By dismantling structural racism and advocating anti-racist policies, practices and norms, we promote an environment that promotes racial equality, inclusion and attribution,” said the priority.

An advocate of freedom of speech told Fox News that applicants should be wary of universities that strive for diversity, equity and inclusion rather than education.

“Professors applying for employment at universities that prioritize DEI efforts over actual student education and intellectual development need to carefully consider what the university expects of them,” SpeechFirst said. Executive Director Cherise Trump said.
