In a home in northeastern Ohio, a family of four, including two adults and two elementary school boys, was found apparently shot dead by murder-suicide.
The body was found at about 1:15 pm on Tuesday when police officers arrived at an address in Block 32000 of the English Turn on Avon Lake and conducted a welfare check.
On Wednesday, police identified the deceased as Jeffrey Hull, 50. Heidi Hull, 46; Garrett Hull (9 years old) and Grant Hull (6 years old). My dog was also killed.
According to a press release from Avon Lake police, the corresponding police officer “observed the suspicious condition in the residence and demanded that the detective be dealt with.”

Police officers and detectives entered a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home and found four members of the Hull family and their pets dead from a gunshot wound.
It’s not clear when the shooting happened or what caused the violence, but officials believe Jeffrey Hull shot and killed his family before pointing his gun at himself.
Officials said Heidi Hull’s colleague called for a welfare check after failing to attend a conference call on Tuesday.
Officers found the front door of the house locked and observed the corpse of the family through a rear window.
The DailyMail.com can reveal that Heidi Hull worked as Senior Vice President of Operations for FM Global, a commercial real estate insurance company. She was recognized as a “2020 Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance Magazine.
Originally from Maine, Hull graduated from New York State University Purchase in 1999 and has worked for FM Global for over 20 years.
Heidi moved his family to Avon Lake when he was promoted to Cleveland Operations Manager in 2017.
Avon Lake police are investigating the dead with the Ohio Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Talking to News 5 Cleveland, neighbor Gina Dayton called the fatal incident “shocking.”

“It’s a great neighborhood, every family, lots of kids, kids playing here every night I walk here,” she told the station. “I can’t believe it. I can’t imagine what the family was experiencing, what happened, or what the family was dealing with.”
Avon Lake City School director Robert Scott issued a statement to his parents on Tuesday revealing that two deceased children, named by police the Garrett and Granthal brothers, were students at Erieview Elementary School. Fox 8 reported.
“It’s important that we recognize this loss and provide help,” Scott writes. “This is a delicate issue for children. We encourage you to discuss their feelings.”
