Istanbul (Reuters) -Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that he had ordered the Foreign Ministry to declare 10 ambassadors, including the United States, Germany and France, to seek the release of philanthropist Ottoman Kavala.

The Foreign Ministry summoned an ambassador on Tuesday, saying it was an “irresponsible” statement calling for a fair and prompt resolution of the Kabbalah case. He has been in jail since late 2017 and has been charged with funding protests and participating in a failed coup, which he denies.
