Istanbul (Reuters) – Middle East rivals Turkey and the United Arab Emirates have made some progress in the last few months, President Tayyip Erdogan said in a rare meeting with UAE officials on Wednesday. I mentioned later.
Prime Minister Erdogan said UAE national security adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed al-Nahyan had discussed investment in Turkey, and if negotiations were successful, the United Arab Emirates would make a “serious investment” in Turkey. He added that he would do it.
The Turkish president also said he was open to meeting the de facto ruler of the UAE, Crown Prince Abu Dhabi Mohammed Binzaid Arnahan.
Turkey and the United Arab Emirates have helped the other side in regional conflicts, including the conflict in Libya and the blockade of Qatar by several Arab countries.
