Trump is “complaining about the poor spread of Social Truth”: “What the hell is going on?”

Former President Donald Trump is outraged by the trajectory of the new social media app Truth Social, even though he has not yet published anything.

Donald Trump suggested in a new report on Saturday that his new social media company, Truth Social, was “shining” in its “shiny” performance less than two weeks ago.

He had a heated conversation with the former president about swearing and making mistakes on the phone.

‘What the hell is going on?’ Trump has at least said that people listened to the Daily Beast.

The report describes the former commander-in-chief complaining about “why more people don’t use it, why the app doesn’t quickly dominate the competition”.

He does not seem to be satisfied with how the spread is being covered. Several media outlets have reported technical errors since the app was launched.

Truth Social and its parent company, Trump Media & Technology Group, are the biggest business venture he has had since the former president resigned. TMTG raised $ 1 trillion from unknown investors when it went public last year.

And the number of daily visits has risen from just 2 million to 300,000 in its initial debut, according to preliminary data analysis by SimilarWeb, which is mentioned in Saturday’s report.

This would be paired with Gettr, another MAGA support platform started by former Trump consultant Jason Miller. At the same time, the social right-wing Gab site reportedly had about 650,000 page views.

Gab and Gettr, which gained strength last summer as a result of a conservative backlash against “censorship” on Twitter and Facebook, were formed much earlier than Social Truth. Gettr was launched in July last year, a month after Trump launched major technology platforms. Gab was launched even earlier, in August 2016, and has since been banned from Google and Apple’s app stores.

The study also suggested that people spend less time on Social Truth: just 90 seconds compared to Gettr’s seven minutes and Gab’s nine.

DailyMail.com has contacted a spokesman for the former president and representatives of Trump Media & Technology Group to comment.

As of Monday, Truth Social has dropped to 118th place in Apple’s App Store after rising to the top spot in its debut.

A login attempt by DailyMail.com shows that users are still on a waiting list of more than half a million places.

The Truth Social platform debuted on Apple’s App Store this year on President’s Day, following Trump’s own fanfare and promotional statements.

However, it immediately started to rock. Users reported errors while trying to make accounts, such as registration errors and delays. Many were later found on a ‘waiting list’ of more than 100,000 places.

Launched the next day, Truth Social climbed to the top of Apple’s App Store, with the most free app downloads.

Two weeks later, a search of the App Store found that it had dropped to 118th place.

It may be because people aren’t logging in yet – an account was posted two weeks ago and logged in on Monday.

Trump said Social Truth was a “tremendous success” in a statement to a right-wing Right Side Broadcasting Network reporter at the Florida Conference of Conservative Political Action Conference late last month.

“We have hundreds of thousands of people trying to move forward and we’re doing it very slowly,” he said.

However, Axios said last week that Trump had not yet posted the app himself.

Truth Social’s rapid traffic loss was announced by mobile app expert Mike Rhodes, CEO of consulting firm ConsultMyApp. He launched it and told DailyMail.com the next day that interest would quickly fade due to its lack of originality.

‘This new platform is obviously designed to promote content with a specific focus, rather than a broad focus on a variety of topics. Platforms for such an echo chamber already exist, but in no way are they supported by the masses, ”Rhodes said.

He called Social Truth “just a covert replica of Twitter,” turning it into a “doomed piece of old-fashioned technology.”

“My best belief is that the platform will end its life as a forum for people to reaffirm their views, with a small but dedicated user base. In the end, Mr. Trump is likely to find another medium to better serve him. , explained Rhodes.
