Paris (Reuters) -France’s TotalEnergies said on Tuesday that it had signed an agreement with China Three Gorges Corporation to establish a joint venture for electric vehicles in China.
According to TotalEnergies, the venture will develop high-power charging infrastructure and services for electric vehicles (EVs).
“The growth prospects of the joint venture are supported by China’s ambition to become carbon net neutral by 2060,” the company said in a joint statement with the China Three Gorges Corporation.
TotalEnergies said on Monday that global oil demand is expected to peak by 2030, faster than previously predicted.
