Yesterday, the Kansas City Police Department filed a file with the Attorney General’s Office, confirming a warrant for Lester’s arrest Monday night.
It’s unclear when Lester will appear in court, but if convicted he faces up to life in prison.
Ralph was shot in the head and arm on April 13 after accidentally ringing a doorbell on his Missouri property.
In the Presumed Cause Affidavit, Lester told KCPD about the shooting Jarl “It was the last thing he wanted to do,” but was afraid of teenagers because of his size and age.
The document also revealed that officers found a Smith & Wesson .32 caliber revolver with two spent cartridges still inside the cylinder after officers arrived on the scene.

He said, “I believed I was protecting myself from physical confrontation, and I couldn’t pass up the chance for men to come in.”

There was a small “no lawyers allowed” sign on top of the doorbell, and another sign said the property was “protected by surveillance cameras.”
Clay County prosecutor Zachary Thompson announced the two felony charges on Monday, admitting there was a “racial component” to the cases, but declined to provide further details.
Lee Merritt, the family’s attorney, added that Jarl’s legal team was not aware of what the “racial element” was in the case, which was announced Monday night by the Clay County Attorney’s Office.
He said: “It’s a white shooter and a black boy.
Lester’s bail is set at $200,000. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison for the assault charge and from three years to 15 years for the armed crime.

Lester was questioned shortly after the shooting, but was released without charge two hours after his arrest.
Police received a statement that Ralph will continue his recovery at home with his mother, a nurse, in hospital on Friday before he was released on Monday.

Cleo Nagbe and attorney Lee Merritt said their son, Ralph Yar, could communicate “when he felt like it.”
“He keeps improving. He’s responsive and making good progress,” said his father, Paul.
Celebrities are quick to stand by the teenager, and actresses Viola Davis, Jennifer Hudson, and Halle Berry are calling for justice.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said, “I hope the justice system gets it right with him.”
Jennifer Aniston has called on her followers to demand the shooter’s “immediate arrest”.
