JD Power has released the 2021 US Seat Quality and Satisfaction Survey ranking sheet for several categories of vehicles.
Like other vehicle quality surveys in the organization, the report evaluates seats based on the number of issues per 100 vehicles reported by the owner.
Of the 110,827 owners’ responses, the Nissan Rogue was ranked highest overall with a score of 4.2 PPV, followed by the Lexus UX at 4.4 PPV and the Porsche 718 at 4.6 PPV. The Rogue seats feature a zero gravity cushion design inspired by Nissan NASA.
JD Power said synthetic leather has made great strides in recent years, surpassing fabrics and bridging the gap with natural leather.
“COVID-19 raises awareness of surface cleanliness, so synthetic leather seats are easy to clean, but ultimately they offer durability, stain resistance, and most importantly, cost. It’s about providing the benefits of addressing the industry’s notable challenges.-Effectiveness. ” Brent Gruber, senior director of global automotive quality at JD Power, said.
