Behar said Republicans want to use their questioning of Jackson to build a relationship with their constituencies, and it is a shame for the country to vote against a woman of this “caliber.”

Lindsey Granger, the hostess, came back, saying, “I think that’s because, even if he’s perfect, we have to ask tough, tough questions.”

Wednesday is the third day of the hearing for Jackson, and if confirmed, she will be the first black woman to sit on the Supreme Court. His approval is seen with Democrats holding a majority in the Senate and none of their members signaling opposition.
