Sources told Boston 25 News that the domestic phone call was from a woman who claimed that a man was pointing a gun at her.

By the time police arrived at the scene, the suspect had already fled to the woods near the MBTA railroad tracks and was being tracked by law enforcement officers.

Police set up shelters for locals and set boundaries to look for suspects.

Police said the suspect had “ambushed” the policeman and shot and killed them while the policeman was firing.

The suspect was shot and police officers gave him first aid. He was taken to the hospital and died.

Injured police officers were also taken to the hospital, one to Weymouth’s South Shore Hospital and the other to the Boston Medical Center.

A neighbor told Boston 25 News that he saw one policeman being carried on a stretcher, but the second policeman was walking towards an ambulance with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in his arm.

During the incident, the suspect fired, firing a K9 handler, another police officer, and a K9.

Police said the suspect’s identity would not be disclosed until his close relatives were notified.

However, they said he was a man in his mid-thirties who issued an arrest warrant at the time of the shooting and was known to the police.

Luis Rivera, who lives nearby, said he heard gunshots ringing while the dog was walking.

Rivera said police had flocked to the area.

“I hear gunshots and police of all kinds come to the area,” he said.

“Braintrees, state troopers, detectives, institutions of all kinds are in this complex.”

The District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts Police are investigating the case.
