The street race tournament on the NE side turns into a fireworks disaster, and two people lose their limbs and fingers

San Antonio – San Antonio police are investigating several street race incidents that took place overnight in various parts of the city. This includes a fireworks disaster in which two people lost their limbs and fingers.

Police arrived at the Eisenhower Flea Market on Block 3900 on Eisenhower Road before 11:00 pm and found a car club racer in the parking lot.

According to police, two people were injured while launching fireworks in the middle of a donut-turning car. According to police, one blew his hand and hurt his eyes, and the other lost his finger.

SAPD said at least 50 vehicles were later discovered at the Valero gas station near Peranbeiter Road, causing another race incident near South General McMullen Drive and West Thompson Place.

Police said people began throwing trees, rocks and fireworks at the police at the location, and several were detained.

No other injuries have been reported.
