New York – Author Shannon Messenger can see the end of the telepathic heroine Sophie and the million-seller middle-grade series “The Guardian of the Lost City.”
Aladdin Books, the publisher of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, announced on Wednesday that Volume 10 and its final volume are scheduled for 2023. This book is currently untitled.
“I knew from the beginning that Sophie’s story was huge, but at that point it was difficult to know how many books were needed to do justice in the Keeper series. I am very grateful to the fans for giving me freedom, support and enthusiasm to develop the story at my own pace, “said the messenger in a statement.
“Now I have the space to reveal all the secrets that readers have wanted to know since Book 1, and I can’t wait for everyone to read the final conclusions. I promise!”
The messenger series began in 2012 and became a worldwide hit with Ben Affleck planning to produce and direct film adaptations. Also so far untitled, the ninth “Lost City” book will be published in 2022.
