Images from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) have helped scientists find candidates for some of the earliest known galaxies to date.

GLASS-z13, or GL-z13, was discovered by combining data from the GLASS (Grism Lens-Amplified Survey from Space) and the Webb Telescope Cosmic Evolution Early Release Science (CEERS) emission programs. first, searching for the most distant galaxies.
