Woman shot dead outside convenience store downtown, suspect on the run, police say

San Antonio – Several people are on the run after a woman was killed in a shooting outside a downtown convenience store, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting took place on S Richter Street and Guadalupe Street just after 6pm on Saturday.

Police say a gray car pulled up and a woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, got into an argument. Witnesses told police that at least seven people were inside the vehicle.

The situation escalated as the driver pulled out a gun and shot the woman multiple times before driving away from the scene, according to SAPD.

When police arrived, they found that the woman had been shot and began treating her injuries.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.

Officers said the vehicle carrying the suspect took off and headed west of El Paso. Police haven’t been able to find them yet.
