The body of a missing college student (21) was found behind the fire department two days after she disappeared.

A college student missing from Florida was found dead behind a South Carolina fire department. Two days before her car was found burned in a cornfield 10 miles away.

21-year-old Sheridan Wall visited Myrtle Beach’s father last week, driving hundreds of miles from his home in Tampa.

However, he told police that she had never arrived at his house, and Sheridan’s mother, Kelly, desperately pleaed for information on Facebook on September 20.

The day before, Sheridan told her mother at Facetime that she was trying to rent a scooter at South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, but was denied service because she wasn’t wearing shoes.

According to police, Sheridan told her mother that she would drive back to Tampa. This should have been a 9 hour drive.

Wall’s body was found about 10 miles from the burned car, according to an incident report from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

However, the family said she would never be contacted after Facetime’s call.

Two days later, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Sheridan’s body was found behind the Hannah Salem Fire Department on Highway 378, 50 miles west of Myrtle Beach.

The station was a small shed with three garages, and she would have been on her way home.

Her burgundy Toyota Corolla was found burned and abandoned two days later in a ditch in a cornfield 10 miles from the local fire department.

Sheridan’s body was taken to South Carolina Medical College on Friday for an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.

The medical center has not yet responded to inquiries on Dailymail.com.

Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach police said they had determined that they had safely left the area after starting an investigation the day after Sheridan’s disappearance, according to a tweet released by MBPD last Wednesday.

At that time, local police stations requested that South Carolina law enforcement agencies investigate this issue because they have state-wide jurisdiction and authority.

Wall’s mother posted a tribute to her daughter on Facebook before police announced her “loved and loving daughter, sister, niece, and friend.”

“We are incredibly sad to share the news that our beloved Sheridan Lynn Wall is gone,” the post read.

“Sheridan was our dear and affectionate daughter, sister, niece, and friend. She misses more than can be expressed in words.

She also paid tribute to Sheridan, saying, “She was a great musician and sat down many times to make fun and relaxing music, alone and with friends.”

“She loved fashion and was very healthy. She was spontaneous and knew how to make you laugh … So what about this kind of loving, talented and beautiful young woman? Or just below?”
