Austin (CBSDFW.COM) – On October 18, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the establishment of the Texas Election Completeness Unit in 2021.
According to Paxton, the group consists of attorneys, investigators, support staff, and “resources to ensure that this local election season runs transparently and safely.”

According to the AG office, the unit’s main function is to serve as a resource focused on both election managers and the general public.

Paxton leads the integrity department of the elections all year round, but states that the unit has a special task to oversee the 2021 election season and is a follow-on program to the 2020 ballot fraud intervention team. ..
“The foundation of our constitutional republic is a safe and transparent ballot,” said Attorney General Paxton. “That’s why my office is always on the alert to protect the integrity of the election.”
