Zurich (Reuters) – Swiss voters on Sunday tended to support the government’s pandemic response program, paving the way for the government to continue its exceptional steps to stop the growing trend of COVID-19 cases.

An early tabulation of Sunday’s popularity polls showed that Swiss voters tended to favor legislation passed earlier this year, according to the first point by the broadcaster SRF on the referendum.

In the other two votes, in the initial tally, Swiss voters upheld trade union-backed proposals to help nurses and selected federal judges by lottery from a pool of candidates proposed by experts. It was shown that the proposal was rejected.
