This is what baseball historians call the “Pitcher’s Year.” And it’s even more welcomed by pitchers who have been brutalized by game sluggers over the past few years. But it may not last long. Last week, MLB announced that it would use “foreign substances” to crack down on pitchers, forcing them to take into account one of the league’s main “don’t ask, don’t say” rules.
