Claypool said the 5-5-1 Steelers should strive to make their practice more “fun” by playing music.

“It’s fun because there’s music in the warm-up,” Claypool said. “People are dancing and having fun, so I think music will make practice more fun and a little more uptempo.”

At a press conference on Tuesday, Tomlin was asked about Claypool’s comments.

“Claypool plays wide out. I’ll let him do that,” Tomlin said. “I have developed a practical approach and I think the division of labor is probably appropriate.”

Steelers’ defensive tackle, Kam Hayward, also helped Tomlin.

“I hope he was joking,” Hayward said of Claypool. “As soon as he said it, I was literally trying to tear the speaker apart. That’s not what we need right now. It’s X and O, it’s a run.”
