Spurs legend Manu Ginobili returns to franchise in front office role

San Antonio – Spurs legend and four-time NBA champion Manu Ginobili is back in the franchise in the role of front office.

The Spurs announced on Friday that Ginobili has been appointed as a special adviser to basketball operations. He focuses on developing players on and off the court.

Ginobili returns to the Spurs after a 16-year playing career in San Antonio. He is the greatest leader in Spurs history with three pointers (1,495) and steel (1,392).

Ginobili’s career win rate of 0.721 is the highest in NBA history (minimum 1,000 games).

A 23-year-old Argentinean professional, Ginobili is one of two players in basketball history who have won the EuroLeague title, the NBA Championship and the Olympic gold medal.

He is also a member of the famous Spurs “Big Three” along with Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. They are the strongest trio in NBA history.
