Sanders leads 7th Oklahoma past 10th Oklahoma

Stillwater, Oklahoma. – Spencer Sanders throws for a touchdown and runs elsewhere, taking advantage of the College Football Playoff opportunity with 7th Oklahoma defeating 10th Oklahoma 37-33 on Saturday night to take advantage of Sooners’ Big 12 titles. I stopped the winning streak at 6.

Oklahoma (11-1, 8-1, No. 7CFP) has lost six games in a row to Oklahoma. The Cowboys will face No. 9 Baylor in the Big 12 Championship next Saturday.

Oklahoma (10-2, 7-2, No. 10CFP) won the ball 20- at the end with no time-out with 54 seconds remaining. Caleb Williams scrambled eggs and ran 56 yards, putting the Snurs into the scoring range. However, Oklahoma State University’s Colin Oliver dismissed Williams four down at Oklahoma State University 32 with eight seconds remaining and began a wild celebration.

Oklahoma coach Mike Gundy has won his third victory in 17 tries against Oklahoma. Cowboys are now able to win the first big 12 titles since 2011.

Oklahoma had already won the spot in the Big 12 title game, but the stakes remained high. With Baylor’s victory over Texas Tech earlier on Saturday, Oklahoma needed a victory to reach the conference championship game, giving Oklahoma a chance to eliminate its rivals.

The game changed when Oklahoma’s Eric Gray erased the punt and Oklahoma recovered in Oklahoma 5. Jalen Warren then punched in from 1 to give Oklahoma a 37-33 lead, with 8:54 remaining.

Tamertin made a 30-yard touchdown catch and a 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to help Oklahoma lead 14-7.

Oklahoma tied it when he found Austin Stoner tying it with a 29-yard touchdown pass while Williams was under pressure by stepping on the back pedal. Brennan Presley immediately responded with a 100-yard kick-off return with a touchdown to bring the Cowboys back.

In the second half of the second quarter, Woody Washington in Oklahoma intercepted Sanders’ pass and returned to Oklahoma 14. Williams connected with Braden Willis with a score of 10 yards, with an additional point of 24 draws.

Oklahoma started scoring in the second half in a strange way. When Oklahoma’s Perion Winfrey hit Oklahoma State University’s Dominique Richardson, the ball loosened and Oklahoma State University recovered in the end zone for safety.

Oklahoma forced a three-and-out and then attacked again. Presley erased the punt and Justin Broiles recovered in the end zone, giving the Snurs a 33-24 lead.

Sanders advanced 37 yards for an option-keeping touchdown, and Oklahoma cut Oklahoma’s lead to 33-31 with 13:52 remaining.

Take away

Oklahoma: Sooners did not score against the foretold defense of Oklahoma State University in the second half. The only points of the Snurs were safety and broiles fumble.

Oklahoma: The Cowboys have done enough to get through. They made a featureless mistake, but got a gritty performance from Sanders who passed 214 yards and ran 93.
