San Marcos – According to city officials, the burial of San Marcos police officer Justin Putnam, who was killed on duty last spring, is scheduled for next Thursday.

According to city officials, Putnam was killed on April 18, 2020 in response to domestic violence. His funeral was postponed due to COVID-19 at the request of his family.

The service will take place at 10 AM at Shoreline Church (15201 Burnet Road) in Austin.

From 7:30 am on June 3, a procession limited to first responders from Hays County will move from Thomasson Funeral Hall to Shoreline Church, according to a news release from the city of San Marcos.
