San Antonio hosts the first-ever river parade of Pride Month in mid-June

SAN ANTONIO – This year, Pride meets the San Antonio River to “promote the inclusion, encouragement, and support of the city’s LGBTQ+ community to live openly and equitably.”

This year’s Pride Month will see Visit San Antonio’s first-ever Bud Light Pride River Parade on June 18th.

The celebration will bring together community members in the historic La Villita neighborhood, the downtown River Walk area and near the local museum, according to Visit San Antonio.

The day’s celebrations kick off with the celebration at La Villita from 12pm to 5pm, which will feature local artisans and producers, as well as food and entertainment. There will be live entertainment on stage from DJs, bands, impersonators and dancers at the Arneson River Theatre.

The event will culminate with two performances of the parade, each featuring more than 17 colorful barges.

The first showing at 4:00 p.m. will be along the River Walk downtown. An additional presentation will be at 7 p.m. at the River Walk Museum Reach, Visit San Antonio said.
