Ringling Bros announces a return tour but no animals Entertainment

Associated Press

MIAMI (AP) – “The Greatest Show on Earth” returns, without animal acts, five years after closing its three-ring circus, Ringling Bros. announced on Wednesday. and Barnum & Bailey.

The live interactive show will be released in September 2023, celebrating artists around the world who “show incredible feats that exceed the limits of human potential,” the Florida-based company said in a press release.

A global quest for talent seeks events to bring the show to life in 360 degrees as a unique interactive experience for each audience, the company said.

Rehearsals will begin on June 23 for a tour of 50 US cities.

The circus ended its 146-year career in January 2017 when ticket sales declined after customers clashed over animal acts, and costly legal battles with animal rights activists led to the end of elephant acts in 2016. Officials hinted at the return last October.
