A phone recording of former President Donald Trump urging Georgia’s election investigators to overturn the state’s 2020 results was reportedly found in the trash can on her device.
Prior to its discovery, state officials initially said they did not believe there was an audio file of the phone call between Trump and election investigator Francis Watson.
A call to Watson, a legal expert said could lead to obstruction, came when she was leading an audit of voting ballot signatures in Cobb County, a suburb of Atlanta.
The call, first reported by the Washington Post in January and released late last week by The Wall Street Journal, affected Georgia’s electoral authorities in proving the results, resulting in widespread fraudulent voting falsehoods during 2020. Added to the example of Trump’s efforts to push the claim. election.
According to an anonymous state official who knew the situation, the post said a voice file for the December 23 phone call was found when Georgia’s Secretary of State responded to a request for public records.
In the call, Trump examined Watson for the “dropped vote” and said he was the legitimate winner of the November 3-vote in her state-“when the correct answer came out.” She said she was “praised.”
Just days before the infamous call to Secretary of State Brad Rafence, he asked to “find” 11,780 votes to make him the winner.
The former president lost the state with more than 11,000 votes, the results of which were confirmed by audits and Georgian Republican election authorities.

In February, Fani Willis, a lawyer in the Fulton County district, requested Georgia authorities, including the Secretary of State of Georgia, to preserve documents related to election interference.
Willis is currently investigating Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 elections in Georgia, and the Secretary of State is also investigating individually.
The White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows visited Cobb County, Georgia, and was called the day after asking about the ongoing audit of the state’s signature.
While in the county, Meadows met Watson and obtained her phone number. Trump called her the next day.
Election investigators told WSB-TV investigative journalists that they had recorded a call from the then president for posterity. “It probably won’t happen again in my life, not every day.”
It’s currently unknown why Watson moved the audio files to the Trash folder, but Watson told the station that he was surprised that he didn’t think Trump was putting pressure on her while on the phone.
“That’s unexpected. As I said on the phone, I was shocked that he took a long time to do it,” Watson said.

The conversation was full of mysterious comments that Trump claimed “something bad happened.” The state was in the process of recounting and investigating, which ultimately resulted in Joe Biden being recognized as the winner.
In a newly released audio tape obtained by The Wall Street Journal, Trump appears to be in court with the state’s Supreme Election Investigator, Watson. It pleases her and hints at fraudulent claims.
It was a move that Rafence later called inappropriate.
“It was an ongoing investigation,” he told The Washington Post on January 9. “I don’t think elected officials should be involved in the process.”
In that call, Trump repeatedly claimed that he had “winned” the state – and mentioned the other southern states he actually carried.
He called the vote-rich Fulton County (where Atlanta is located) the “mother vein.”
“I beat everything but Georgia, and I beat Georgia, I know that,” he told Watson.
He complements Watson at the beginning of the call and she reveals that Meadows met her the day before.
‘There was something. Something bad happened, “he said of the election. His election lawyer’s allegations and the “Kraken” proceedings alleging large-scale fraud in the state did nothing in the end.
Multiple recounts revealed that Biden had beaten the state. Two Democrats were then elected to the Senate from Georgia in a final vote on January 5.
Trump told Watson, Meadows “I think you’re great.” He went on:’And you know, it’s so interesting that this country relies on it.
“So I got a record number in Florida, a record in Ohio, a record in Texas, I got 40-40 points in Alabama, and I beat everything except Georgia.
“I beat Georgia, I know it a lot, and people know it.”

Secretary of State Brad Rafence called Trump’s call to investigators inappropriate.
Watson’s phone came a few days before Trump called La Fence Purger and asked to “find” a vote.
‘There was something. Something bad happened, “he said.
He did not explain, but hinted at his own repetitive public comments on widespread fraudulent voting.
“I want you to go back two years ago,” he told investigators, asking for more than a “signature check” to ensure that the signed ballot matches the signature on the state elections file.
“You’ll find something incredible. Honestly, what we’ve heard – just the right source. It’s a really good source,” Trump said without a name.
“Fulton is the mother vein. As the expression progresses, it is Fulton County.”
The appeal seemed to have surprised Watson, and she told him he was “shocked” what he called. “Thank you for your comment,” she told him, but made no promise.
“With our team [Georgia Bureau of Investigation], We are only interested in the truth and in finding factual information.
Watson told the president: Thank you for calling. Frankly, I was shocked that you took the time to do it. But I am very grateful. ”
Trump told investigators that she “is currently doing the most important job in the country,” adding that Georgians are “very angry” and that she won with “hundreds of thousands of votes.” did.
“They dropped the ballots. They dropped all these ballots,” he said. “If you get the right answer, you will be praised.”
He also told her at the end of the call: “Francis, whatever you can do, it’s great.” Before referring to January 6, Congress met to count the identification tags, and thousands of Trump MAGA rioters were in the Capitol.
Five people were killed in a riot in the Capitol.
“We have that date of 6 days, which is a very important date,” Trump told her.
