Prosper’s First Presbyterian Church burns

PROSPER, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A historic church burned in North Texas Tuesday afternoon.
A Prosper official said the First Presbyterian Church of Prosper received a fire call at 1:45 p.m. No one was in the church at that time.
The fire did not spread to other buildings.
The First Presbyterian Church of Prosper was first organized in 1878. The church, which has its own historical marker, opened its doors in 1902 at its Coleman Street location.
