Police: 14-year-old shot at US 175 in Dallas

Police say the victim’s car was shot by someone driving a white Chevrolet Silverado. The driver and one of his fellow passengers found the 14-year-old boy unresponsive.

DALLAS — Police are looking for a suspect linked to a shooting that drove a teenager to a hospital overnight.

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) received a call to the shooting around 1:00 am Saturday.officers were dispatched 9606 CF Hawn Freeway/US 175.

Police said the victim’s vehicle was driving east on the highway off Interstate 45 when the suspect’s vehicle blocked them and eventually began chasing them.

The driver said he arrived at CF Hawn on Prairie Creek Road when the suspect was shot in his car and stopped next to him.

The driver and the woman in the back seat noticed that the 14-year-old front passenger had been shot and was unresponsive. That’s when they exited the highway and called for help.

The suspect’s vehicle continued eastwards through CF Hawn. Police described it as a 2008-2012 white Chevrolet Silverado.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and took the boy to the hospital. Police say he is in critical condition.

No other information has been released at this time.
