Pennsylvania Board of Education President fires after cutting off Iran’s mother asking CRT

The president of the Pennsylvania Board of Education has been asked to resign after cutting off an Iranian mother who opposes the CRT during the meeting and attending her.

Iranian immigrants and the mothers of three Anita Edgalians expressed concern to members of the Chester School District’s board on July 26 about the curriculum of critical racing theory.

She was recorded at a meeting telling President Chris McCune of the Board that Iran grew up during the “communist-ravaged” Iranian Revolution. She said it was a “complete nightmare” to sit at a meeting where the board was split into groups (opposite the CRT).

At a meeting on July 26, Anita Edgarian expressed concern to members of the Chester School District’s board of directors regarding the controversial curriculum of critical racing theory.

“I want my kids to study math, literature, history, and I want them to study all kinds of history,” she says.

Edgarian has a son in high school and twin girls in the second year of middle school.

Critical racial theory is an educational concept that claims that racism is a social component incorporated into American legal systems and policies.

During the meeting, Edgarian says her house is known as the “International Pancake House” because a diverse group of friends of her children are all welcomed there.

In the meeting record, she praised retired director Jim Scanlon and said, “You did a good job for 12 years,” but “You’re left confused, you split us up. I brought it. ”

The comment is filled with applause from some parents in the audience.

But before she could continue, she was cut off by McCune and said, “Anita, you are in time.”

Edgarian repeats “no, no”, but McCune replies, “Yes, you are.”

“This is shameful,” says McCune back on stage. “We met in honor of you. You bombed there, and now you want to monopolize the meeting. It’s not happening. You’re gone.’

Officers come to escort her from the building while she continues to yell at the officers on stage.

“Why did you say you couldn’t teach history without a CRT?” She can be heard screaming before the officer takes her out of the auditorium.

This is not the first time the school board has erupted over a CRT because the curriculum is a hot topic.

In response to the Black Lives Matter protests nationwide last year, fierce debate arose nationwide. Proponents say it is essential to eliminate racism in the United States, and opponents argue that it actually promotes racism by classifying people.

In response to Edgarian being cut off and escorted, the Republican Commission in Chester County called for McCune to resign.

In a statement, the Commission called his actions “blameable,” admitting that while Edgarian was speaking for the two minutes allotted, other speakers also spoke that night.

The commission accused McCune of approaching her three mothers and yelling at her, saying she “couldn’t control her anger” and acted like a bully.

“When did police officers take their parents away for exercising the First Amendment to Freedom of Speech?” The Commission asked in the letter. “Should she not be allowed to return to her seat instead of being taken out of the building?”

The DailyMail.com has solicited comments from the Westchester Area School District.

On Wednesday, Edgarian starred in Fox and Friends and told host Cary McKenny that the school board president wouldn’t like to dare to ask the board.

“I don’t think he likes the fact that I was saying,” she said.

Edgarian added that he just wanted to clarify what his children could teach and get an answer.

“I have friends on both sides of this aisle. Friends, and, as you know, sometimes close friends,” she said. “And because you know, I don’t want my kids to feel that they can’t talk to this person or that person and grow up. And I just wanted to know. And, as you know, the best thing is to come out and ask frankly. ”

Important Racial Theory: From Ambiguous Academic Concepts to the Forefront of American “Culture War”

Critical Race Theory (CRT) began to appear in classrooms from kindergarten to grade 12 and became explosively prominent in the spring when several bans were reached, including Florida and Texas, but dozens in higher education. I have been taught for years.

It is a derivative of Herbert Marcuse and Erich Fromm’s critical theory of Marxist idealism, claiming that there is a power structure that “enslaves” the minds of oppressed people in society.

The CRT teaches that racism is not the result of nature or biology, but a social component, an idea devised to exploit and manage minorities.

Racism is argued in the United States, especially for blacks, as a structural issue built into its system, legal system, and even the Constitution.

This theory sparked fierce debate nationwide in the wake of last year’s national Black Lives Matter protest and the introduction of the 1619 project.

The 1619 project, published by the New York Times in 2019 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved African Americans on the American coast, brings the consequences of enslavement and the contributions of black Americans to the United States. A story that reconstructs American history by putting it in the center of.

The debate surrounding critical racial theory takes into account concerns that some children are instructed to consider whites to be essentially racists or sexists. ..

Opponents of critical racial theory argued that it reduced people to the “privileged” or “repressed” category based on their skin color.

However, supporters say that this theory is essential to eliminate racism, as it examines how race affects American politics, culture, and law.
