An 18-year-old Ohio man was arrested after pulling out an AK-47 rifle at the platform of Times Square subway station in New York.

The 18-year-old Saadiq Teague was charged with possession of several weapons and criminal use of one drug-related device after being discovered with unloaded semi-automatic guns, ammunition, and gas masks.

The 18-year-old Saadiq Teague was charged with two counts of second weapon possession and two counts of third weapon possession. There is no count for assault rifles, 1 for ammunition, and no criminal use of drug-related equipment.

Police approached the man, questioning his intentions, and the suspect claimed he had obtained permission for weapons from Ohio.

The 18-year-old boy was successfully arrested and police have not yet named him. The suspect is currently being interviewed at a police station near Columbus Circle.

The FBI has recognized the incident, but the agent has not yet been involved in the investigation.
