Winnipeg defeated his visit to Toronto by scoring four goals in the second period.
Mark Scheiffrey scored his fourth goal in two games and added assistance to Jets, who won two straight games. Seven Jet scored two points each, including Blake Wheeler, who scored two assists in the 1,000th NHL game. Connor Hellebuick made 32 saves.
Auston Matthews increased his score to six games with the Maple Leafs’ 15th goal of the season. Toronto played twice in a row, lost two games in a row, and scored a point streak in six games (5-0-1). Joseph Wall made 35 saves.
