National Football League Buffalo Bills player Dummer Hamlin was in critical condition late Monday after collapsing on the field after making a tackle.
Hamlin initially stood up, but then fell to the ground. Medical personnel performed CPR at the scene before sending Hamlin by ambulance to a local hospital.
The Bills and their opponents, the Cincinnati Bengals, were visibly shaken and gathered to pray.
The league later announced the postponement of the game.
