Texas teacher accused of having inappropriate relationship with student, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — San Antonio police have arrested a high school teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Jae Casey Steuart, 49, was arrested Thursday on charges of child sexual assault and an educator-student improper relationship, according to Bexar County records.

On Tuesday, Stuart began leaving messages for students, one of which contained her phone number, police said. Later that day, they allegedly began texting and arranged to meet.

Stuart picked the student up from his apartment and drove him to a motel where the woman “performed sexual activity on the victim,” police said.

On Wednesday, the student protested to school officials. Stuart has denied allegations of sexual contact with a student, according to SAPD.

“Our detectives have gathered enough evidence to charge her with these two charges,” Sergeant said. San Antonio Police Department Washington Moscoso said:
