Volunteers prepare ahead of the 43rd Annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner this week

San Antonio – For the first time in two years, Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner Meet in person at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Thursday. Volunteers prepared for Sunday’s event to ensure everything was ready for the big day.

Long-time partner RK Group donated over 550 turkeys for dinner.

RK Group Partner Noe Martinez said, “We are proud to have donated the turkeys needed to serve this meal to the longstanding San Antonio Raw Humanist Dinner tradition.

A community-style dinner giveback event It is expected to feed over 25,000 people. Raul Jimenez’s grandson says this year’s dinner will make a difference to those who need it most.

“Prices are rising with inflation and things are getting really, really hard to come by,” Raul Jimenez III said.

Americans are embracing an expensive Thanksgiving, data Food prices are projected to rise 9.5% to 10.5% this year, according to the US Department of Agriculture. Historically, they have only increased by 2% each year.

“We have a community table for everyone to enjoy, so no one is left behind and the mission continues,” said Raul Jiménez III.

The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner is a free and open event. The event is Henry and he is scheduled for November 24th. B. Gonzales Convention Center.doors open at 9am
