Police arrested two people after finding 21 kilograms of the highly toxic drug carfentanil (enough to kill 50 million people) in a house in Southern California.

Synthetic opioids, 100 times more potent than fentanyl, are commonly used to sedate elephants and other large mammals.

Andres Jesus Morales, 30, and 27, was charged with four felony charges for the sale of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin. Both pleaded guilty to yesterday’s prosecution and were detained without bail. They will appear in court again on November 9th.

Carfentanil is so powerful that it is deadly at the nanogram level. Veterinarians wear protective equipment during handling to avoid exposure.

According to police, the amount confiscated is sufficient to kill 50 million people when mixed with other drugs.

A police officer in Riverside County, California, said he discovered it while executing a search warrant at his home in Perris. They also confiscated 4 kg of cocaine and 1 kg of heroin.

It is believed to be the largest carfentanil attack in Riverside County history.

They arrested two people when they attacked the second Peris house on September 14. An additional 16 kg of cocaine was hidden there.

Ryan J. Railsback, a Riverside County executive, said dealers can combine drugs such as heroin and cocaine with synthetic opioids to give users a strong buzz.

When dealers get the right measurements, they are likely to be happy and repeat customers, he said.

“It would be a bad business for them to kill all their clients, but they’re not trying to kill all their clients, they’re trying to bring them back,” Railsback told Dailymail.com. ..

However, it can be a subtle measurement act, and miscalculations can cost the user’s life.

He added that people using illegal drugs are beyond playing with fire.

“The amount of fentanyl you need to kill you is so small that it literally plays the surface of the sun in terms of amount,” Railsback said.

He said the police officer who made the bust was likely to have saved his life in doing so.

“They are preventing people from dying,” he said. “Our detectives feel like they’re making a dent, one less overdose, every time you walk off the street, especially when dealing with fentanyl or derivatives of fentanyl.

“It’s really one less death,” he said. “There are so many people dying overdose of fentanyl and ultimately there. That’s unrealistic.”
