UVALDE, Texas – Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, visited a memorial site for victims involved in the deadly shooting at Texas Elementary School.
Meghan placed white flowers tied with a purple ribbon at a monument outside the Uvalde County courthouse on Thursday. She paid her respects after a gunman killed 19 students and two teachers on Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
The Duchess of Sussex lives in California with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children. She made the trip to Texas on a personal basis as a mother to offer her personal condolences and support to a “community that is experiencing unimaginable pain,” according to her spokesperson.
Meghan left the flowers at the monument and stood with her arms folded as she looked at the monuments.
